I was asked to post some pics of my 60 camino when I introduced myself but it took me awhile to get back to do it.
working on that, rebuilt rear suspension, front next then droppin it with disc brakes too, airbags later
yea i also know a good painter, bring it by the farm i have plenty of green or yellow paint for it. looks good when are you going to drive it?
Thts cool, was that always a floor shift car?or did you remove the column lever,or add a different column?Im working on one now, have a few, this ones gonna stay auto on the tree. Its tough to find floor shift colums for 59 and 60's is why I was wondering.let me know if you need anything,I have 4 and parted out at least three in the past 3 years..
Cool car! I love first generation El Caminos. Post your pictures in the 59-60 Chevy thread too: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=311373
Very cool El Camino. They are very tough looking vehicles. One day I'll add one to my collection of 1960 Chevy's.
Nice El Camino! The 60 is also my favorite year. There's a 60 sedan delivery near where I live that I'd love to liberate!...the trouble is the owner won't give it up! Good Luck in whatever you decide to do!
I love '60s.....LOVE 'em....not '59s so much. One of the best things about those years is those rear wheelwells....so huge! Maybe someday I'll get one. Yours looks cool and with that 4 speed too?....awesome! I always wondered if they ever came with that aluminum piece across the back taillight area, like the impalas.....if I had one, I'd probably try to install one....along with the "3-taillight" thing like impalas have....mine would have to be ultra slammed too.
Slim my plan is to paint it a burnt orange color, flat and have a gloss white roof and possibly wheels
MR. JERK...man it's a good thing you posted those pic's, because i was just about too send someone after your ass! HA! and i don't think it's to tall, i mean the tires still touch the ground! HA! call me POP...or the old FART!
We put the Camino to work for the first time this past Sunday! Drove about an hour away from home to cut down our Christmas tree. Fun times.
cant beat an Elky...I got a 60 as well...long ways before it see the road. the floor was patched in the early 70's and they rusted too...has not seen the road or fresh gas since 74'. Your looks nice and clean...take care of it.
very cool car. I have always loved el caminos...not sure about those jerseys though. Saints fan here so Im in heaven...i better savor it cause i bet it wont happen again.
