    Guys,
I thought I'd post a few photos of my 40 Fiat Topolino hot rod project for your viewing. It's powered by a fuel injected 513cid Cadillac with 400 Turbo & Olds 12 bolt rear

Looks great Wayne. Who would have ever thought that the "stock" look would be a change of pace?

The "stock look" is only stock if you don't know what a stock Fiat Topolino looks like. Each fender on my Topolino is 12 inches wider than stock, making the total overal width 2ft more than stock!

The Fiat looks great. Thats a beautiful job on the metal work that went into widening your little Fiat.

  9. Looks like it's getting close to hitting the road Wayne. I know it's been a long project, but it's well worth the wait.

Cool hot rod. Too bad you couldn't find a motor with a little torque to push it down the road......

When I widened the tread width I was able to remove some of the inside fenderwell and move them out. From this I gained about 8-12" in leg room.It makes you feel like your in a little sports car, tight shoulder to shoulder, close to the floor, with nice leg room.

    Nice work!
The look reminds me of John Callies #303 Simca featured in 1974 Hot Rod Magazine....Still wonder what happened to that car.

I was told that John sold the car and it is now in Texas and the new owner is going to put it back on the street.

  30. Here's a great comparison of the stock width Topolino and Wayne's all steel wide body version.
