I was wondering if someone out there can offer suggestions on how to wire the wiper motor "park" circuit of a '94 Dodge Caravan 2-speed wiper motor. It's a very small compact unit that would be great for a hot rod application. I've ID'd the hi and lo speed wires and internal switch wires but havent figutred out how to "park" it with out an elaborate relay set up. This unit used the column turn signal switch on the Caravan. I want to use an original dash style switch on my project. Anyone know? Thanks!

  2. maybe the park is done by the switch controlling the ground and not the + side? seams to me i had a wiper motor that way once

Contact Ron Francis Wire Works (If he still exists) To my knowledge there has never been a question concerning wiring that he couldn't answer. Chester

I pulled one off the shelf and heres' the scoop, yellow (high speed, goes to 'L'); white (low speed, goes to 'H'); blue (park, goes to 'P'); red (power, goes to 'G') on the switch. The motor has 3 male tabs, upper left is Blue (Park); upper right is White (Low); low middle is Yellow (hIGH).
    Hope this helps, oj

  5. If it had delay you must use the module & make sure you have the MTR grounded . Fab the original SW to mount behind the dash

Forgive me if I have mulitpule repleys but I lost one somewhere.

This is a motor I got off the shelf at the bone yard (marked '94 Caravan) with the four wire plug still attached and the frame is ground. Red = Hi, Brown = Lo and two internal switch wires in the center, a green and Blue. Using an ohm meter, the Green wire makes contact with the motor voltage for about 15 Deg. rotation then a few deg of open then makes contact with the blue wire for about 340 deg then another open spot prior to making contact with the internal motor voltage again. I'm guessing this is how they park it but havent figured a simple way to wire it short of a couple relays. The book dosn't give enoug info the determine what's going on inside. I tried the parts store for dash mounted swith but this one uses the turn signal. It seemed like a good idea at the time - - I'll give Francis another call but wasn't very helpfull last time.
