    Hey Greg,

I noticed something in your for sale ad. You said that your turtle deck as 50's era. Can you explain some more about that? Obviously, that means it's an after-market piece. How can you tell?

That car isn't coming to Utah. He's got to sell it because of something that happened with someone in UT.

That's a neat piece. I hope you can figure out how to keep it.

  6. Hi mate, thanks for your comments. Its amazing how we can get talked out of things isnt it

Thanks mate, I hope there is a way to make it all work. At the moment this is the most feasible option.

Sorry, it is supposed to say 50's era fibregl***. That is what I was told and I think there is a tag in the fibregl*** from memory

CORRECT - the buyer of my 29 Ford Pick Up comes from Utah. He ***ured me that I would get XYZ amount if the exchange rate didnt work in either of our favor and then when I was down in what I got, he backed away from his word.

    THANKS

Greg that is extremely nice fabrication work . I have to ask how did you find such cool little work space . Shed space for hire down here you could almost rent a house for some of the prices people ask . Is it a shed at your place or something?

  8. Thanks mate. Its an industrial unit I bought and it has a 2 bedroom apartment on top. Thanks again, Greg

    Greg,

I'm going to get my drive-shaft and torque tube shortened. I was wondering what your wheelbase is? Knowing that will help me figure how far I want to pull my wheels forward... also, is it okay if I have a HAMBer use one of your pics to photoshop so I can figure my car's layout?

  12. Hi Brett,

Cross members front and rear are stepped the width of the cross member
I will measure wheel base and get back to you
No worries to use the pics

    Thanks

    Greg

  13. Any luck on keeping the car? I am hoping to get a T soon, and this is great inspiration. I look at the frame pics and am amazed, its so nice and clean, I hope I can do decent work that I wont be afraid to post. Hope all is well.

Do you think you could have gotten away without splitting the wishbones?

  19. They are split cos I have to extend them to make them meet the bell housing again. I havent worked out what to do there but that is the next thing to do.

It is possible to do if the spring is mounted under the radiator. Then the car would have the same WB as the A all the parts came from. Doing that, in turn, messes with a slew of other things which I'm learning is all in part of cramming 10lbs of stuff in a 5lb bag.

That's what I did with mine after I made the front spring mount. I lengthened the wish bone the same amount I moved the axle forward it mounted in the stock location. I used a solid piece of round bar stock that slid into the wishbone about 5 inches each side of the seam. Pinned and welded the bar stock in place then welded the 'bones together. Worked great. But mine was all T running gear.

So, where did this car end up, ForEverFour? Did a H.A.M.B.er get it?

  27. A friend just a block away from me here in Auckland, NZ bought it.
He is making plans to work on it soon.

  28. I have borrowed the body back to do another ch***is for an early style T. Not too early styled though probably around the forties - Isky era/style.

    getting the bug again greg?

  30. The bug never left mate. I have a T cowl and a bunch of other parts that I have kept aside here for something.

Plus we have the four banger dragster too

The bug is well and truly there.....
