hi the i am putting 61 390 into a model A and i would like to use a puck stile mount in. the fe block is one with 2 hole and not 3 for the mount. has anyone done this before and might beable to help me out are have some pics. or does anyone have any good ideas on this, i have looked at some kits but i do not think they are worth the time as i have not fond 1 that would be close to working for me thanks Jonny
Food for thought concerning early FE's. The '62 and earlier Galaxies used tall C shaped motor mounts. '63-'64 used flat motor mounts. Both styles were for the two hole block. It may be possible to use the crossmember from one of the Galaxies mentioned as it is a large round tube from framerail to framerail curving under the oilpan. Be sure to use the same year motor mount as the crossmember.
well i am still looking for any people that have done this install before, not to sound like a**** hole, but someone has to to have a better idea than to cut out cross member, and weld it in, i think that might look like*****, and do not like that i should wast a good cross member that someone could use.
