Ok so i am pretty recent to the h.a.m.b. and i know that the info that i am looking for is been gone over a million time. But now that i want to actually study it, it cant be found. I am looking for info or just some progress pics of 53 54 pontiac or chevy 2 door hardtop chops. Every search i do comes up with sedans and post cars, any help would be appreciated. I am getting ready to lower the lid on my 54 poncho hardtop and just need the extra kick in the *** before the sawzall comes out.

Flop had a post on chopping a pontiac i will see if I can find it. it was really informative and a real nice job. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=239775&highlight=flop

his car is a 50 pontiac but the style is the same and the basics are the basics. I cannot remeber if the 53 pontiac has the wrapped rear window like my 53 chevy but if it does you may have to find a shoebox back window or a buisness coupe chevy.
here is another site with a chop on a 54 chevy unfortunately it is in chinese but the pics explain it. http://www.calcl***ics.us/calcl***ics.chopped54.htm

flop's write up is great material, been over it a lot studying the pics. What I am down to is the back window situitaion on my hardtop. Where does it go recessed or custom gl***, i'm hard pressed to believe ever chopped hardtop has recessed or custom cut gl***.
