HAMBers, please be on the alert for items stolen from a friend's storage building today in the Conway, Arkansas area. He got cleaned out. If you see any of this stuff on eBay, Craigslist, swap meet, etc, please contact him. Here is the email I got from him: Today, my storage building was robbed and they hit me hard. The reason I am sending this is hoping you could send notice to the membership in case they are approached to buy items. Stolen was a partly dis***embled 1940 Ford engine on a stand, a large Craftsman roll around tool box with tools, air tools, spray guns, engine hoist (cherry picker), 2 1948 Ford test machines made by Heyer, and other items I can't recall now. It seems some of these things would be hard to fence. The quick total is well into the thousands. I just hope to get the word out. This was rented storage and there is no insurance.I had hoped to move the items to my new place this upcoming week but I am too late. There have been a number of items added including fishing rods and reels. They got all my spray guns, a sandblaster, and on and on. Thanks, Keith Phone 501-450-0775. Thanks, Keith
****in lowlifes ,I hope your buddy gets his stuff back, and gets the chance to give em some of that good ole Arkansas justice.
Always ****s to hear of this ****...Hope he gets at least some back, all would be great...and finds the *******s who did it....
Heads up in Nebraska for ya brother!! Low-life creeps, to much of this B.S. happening. We must protect our goods better. This is not the good old days, to many ****in tweekers and ***holes on the prowl. Lockem, lightem, get a big *** dog, whatever it takes, review your own stuff and protect it better!! ~Sololobo~
Seems to me if you are paying someone to store your stuff and it gets stolen they should be responsible for paying for it.
I sure hopre that they didn't use the trailer they stole from me two weeks ago to haul your stuff off with,,,the sum*****es. I sure hope some horrible desease ******es ahold of em and pains there *** to death.
Man,,it's getting worse everyday. Hey guys,,be sure to listen to the local radio station programs too!! Here we have "Swap Shop" "Traden' Time" "Trading Post" & "Dial a Trade" etc. I call them the HillBilly Stock Market!! LOL. We have about 4 or 5 of 'em here. I buy and sell alot and it occured to me to listen there as well to find his stuff. It also occured to me to tell him to advertise the loss on them too! Good luck!
Looks like a pawn shop is about to get some sweat deals. Things are just going to get worse. Obama is driving us into the more debt then Bush did. Now they are trying to put us into more debt to create jobs. The gov. isnt into the job making buiseness or their would be no unemployment. They just need to cut some deals with the companies that moved from here to mexico. give them some tax free business for a few years.
If you have homeowners insurance, the items in a rented storage unit would still be covered, including spare vehicle parts. While nothing is guaranteed, check with the claims department with the insurance company. Do not take the word of an agent. They sell insurance, they don't handle claims.
These guys probably didnt lose there morals and start stealing to feed there family or anything because they lost there job
Over half the guys I know HAVE lost their jobs and they're frantic. Some say 30% of America is unemployed, but they fudge the numbers to not alarm people. You don't want to spook the herd before they go to market. Unemployment in Arkansas is at a 30 year high. It will get worse.
ill be on the look out here in northern oklahoma yeah i had a homemade roll around that my coupe body was on behind the shop for about a year guess what 2 weeks ago it came up missing i know it was s**** metal guys but cant prove it cant leave anything out any more
Hope you catch them. Ok it is somebody that knew what it is they knew where it was. Probably knew you where fixing to move it. That narrows it down some. Who has seen it at that location. What about who you rented the storage from? Or the people who work for them? if it was a commercial mini storage other renters might have seen it. Everybody should be a suspect. Most stuff i have had stolen was by friends or family members.I bet it is not some random crackhead thief. it is someone knoweledgeable about what you had stolen. Make a list of everyone who knew about it. Bet it is within 50 miles of your place. You will have to do the investigating the police will take a report and that is all. Good Luck OldWolf
There are plenty of pieces of **** that target storage facilities. I have a family member that had three broken in at one time. They got 11 vintage boat motors and thousands of $ in misc antiques. Nothing was recovered. I'd check pawn shops for the small stuff and Pe*** Jean swap meet in June for the bigger items. I agree with Old Wolf. It could be a "friend" of a friend. I have first hand experience with prescription drug addicts, and they can be WORSE than crack heads.
