Thought I'd show these pics. What a shame. The guy won't sell anything period. It's been there for years and known by the local guys, some HAMBers know of it. It's starting to go downhill since the racoons got in it. I'll never figure out why people hold onto stuff until they croak. I know it's his to do what he wants but damn. I'm too friggin old to outlive him!!

Yup, she's a beauty. I've run into the same thing with a 36 chevy. I inquired about it 5 years ago. It was resting on the ground for many years at that point. It's still sitting there...rotting. Dirty shame.

If it doesn't bother the owner, so it doesn't bother me, they can't all be restored/rodded.

Shame it's just sitting there, but at least it's dry. If it was mine I wouldn't sell it either.

Somebody will be posting pics of a new barn find one of these days.

Some people enjoy driving them. Some people enjoy just owning them.

    Oh well...move on.

Yep. Having is most of the enjoyment. If it was mine I'd keep it too. If people with whiny entitlement issues bugged me about it I'd run them off.:D

It's obvious that one is for sale, displayed like that. I'll bet the owner knows exactly how much he wants for it too. :D

Wrong attitude brother, with thinking like that no one would have and old ride.It bothers me,when history is hoarded for no reason other than to be a dick.

Actually, I think you're the one with the wrong attitude. It bothers me when people feel entitled to other people's property because they feel the current owner doesn't deserve what they have.

Pretty simple solution. Wait til he dies, show up at the auction with $20,000.00 +, load it up and take it home.

No wrong attitude here, just telling it the way it is.I am not talking about entitlement nor am i talking about owners not deserving what they have ,read my response correctly before you comment. If we all ignored or it didnt bother us that good old iron that we are in the bussiness of restoring was let to rust ,decay and dissappear,we wouldnt see, rides like the hirohata merc, the numerous 32 fords found, etc, etc. If we didnt care my friend we would have no custom history to talk about let alone see first hand.i would like to see old iron on the road,i would like to see people that recognize that rodding history is something to be preserved, and not to be ignored.

You KNOW for sure that the ONLY reason he choses not to sell is to be a "dick"? WOW, with intuitive powers like that you could make a fortune revealing everyones inner motives. I do believe there is a "dick" here but I seriously doubt if it is the owner of that car.

"EVERYBODY" on here has atleast one part if not 10 or 100 parts or a car or 10. they will probably never use or do anything with -- but wont sell it.

What always happens, when you least expect it the car will be sold. I heard of a '30' coupe which went into a shed in upstate N.Y. in '53 with the Atlantic Gas Station colors still on the car and the five digit phone number on the doors. My buddy introduced me to the older gentleman and two days later the car was in my garage. I'm not implying I was the perfect person to come along, I just happened to be at the right place at the right time with the proper money in hand. Sure I purchased a 30 and not a 34, however; the '30 was not for sale, so I was told.....

The Hirohata Merc was a poor choise for your comment. The owner had it stuffed away for years and truned away buyers. He rebuilt it when he was damn good and ready. That '34 belongs to a guy that for whatever reason pleases him, his car to do with as he pleases.
