Lift a house is a bit of an understatment. the limiting factor here will be the frame springs axle and tires. But should be pleanty heavy enough to move just about anything smaller than an M1A1.

    Does parmesan cheese go bad????

we used it on spaghetti all the time. it got hard, but you can grate it, it was good. My dad died in 1970, and I moved my mother 1n 1975, and she still had a little piece of it in an old jar.

  5. **** chris! How about that?? I know both bob n john, but funnily enough, not until I had mine shipped over from San diego! Bought it from a guy call mike beavers from Escondido, who spent 3/4years building it! I fell in love with yours when bob first bought it! Never thought I find myself emailin the original owner! And what a coincidence?

That is cool! I spent today bringing home ANOTHER 1946 2 ton truck. I don't know what the hells wrong with me. But they keep popping up...and CHEAP. This one is all orriginal, has a 59AB the turns over and a lot of parts I need for my half ton. I'll post some pics later.

Heres the one I picked up today. I tried my damdest to NOT go look at it...but it was super cheap and in very nice shape. I bought it for parts, but after getting it home I think I might just put it out back and save it for a lter project. The engine turns over, all the lights work (after replacing the broken headlights)...like it was just shut off 30 years ago.

Plus I always have wanted a big truck ;)

man! you got yourself a roll going there.
i got a big '46 truck too. i was going to make a flatbed car hauler with it but, my friend found a cab over newer box truck for me. i figured the box would keep the cars cleaner and safer so i bought it too. i junked the cab and stretched the frame 4 feet and mounted the '46 cab and front end on it. i put in a 460 motor and c6 trans. a question for anybody who knows, do the smaller truck front fenders bolt onto the big trucks? the box truck i got has smaller tires and the fenderwells are way to big on the '46.

  12. I like that dump bed on the 36 chris. Heres a shot of the 35 i yanked off a farm field by my house today. I need a dash rail for it if you know of any. Has a 59AB that looks like it will run.

damm cool score cris! i had 3 of those boxes and couldn't find out who manufactured them. the old machinist i got them from had been filling them for years. each box was filled with different engine parts, one had crankshafts, one had rods and camshafts and the other one was filled with nuts and bolts. we loaded them with a crane and unloaded them the same way. the guy thought they were ex military issue boxes.

The 1/2 ton fenders will bolt right up to the bigger trucks for the '46. I have read from one fellow that he had one fender from a tonner on one side of his truck and a 1/2 ton on the other side and it took him a while to notice it. The size of the wheel opening should be the only difference.

Update for those that care- we finally got ahold of the guy with that ***y dump bed, mad a deal, and went to get it today. Cut the U bolts that held it on ad slid her back onto the trailer pretty painlessly.

Chris, Got to say you are da man for finding and collecting these old trucks. There is a '46 Truck that has been a hot rod for a lot of years. Has a 389 V-8 (got to love Poncho Power !). It is green with white pinstriping. Would love to build a newer but traditional version of that truck.

You got the market cornered on big Fords, that is for certain! Nice little collection you have going there. I really like that early dump bed, too. Did the donor truck not have hydraulics on it?
