History Ed Sullivan on public TV

I thought it was kool. They had the Beach Boys doing "I Get Around" in front of some hot rods from the day. I scammed around on youtube and found this (I hope it posts):

That's one of the best songs ever and the video is awesome. I would **** if I saw one of those cars in town.

Ed Sullivan was a Sunday night ritual in my familys home,I remember being a 14 year old kid watch the Beach Boys,,,they made a profound impact on me.

I watched the special last night also,,had to believe it's been 45 years since I first saw that same show,,,

The Hot Rods on stage just added fuel to the fire of my obsession of all things with wheels. HRP

 

HaHa I watched it twice on Sat...woder if the cars are still around?

I watched it with my sons.we loved it.The Beach Boys sure had good taste

 

Awsome vid, looks like the closest car has a cadi mill.

But I think surfin safari has to be my favorite beach boys song.

One of those looks like the car that was on Gidget,when she was in Auto Shop.

 

When I was growing up in the SF Bay Area in the late '60s the Dennis Wilson look was very popular. Long-ish hair (for those days) parted on one side.
