51 Chevy Coupe -leave it alone or stripe it or????

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Snegrah, Nov 28, 2009.

  1. stripe that car.

really neat little rod. makes me wanna raise up the rear end of mine... well, maybe not.

    dont scallop it.

a little traditional action on the nose, deck, and headlights.

if you're anywhere near LA i'd LOVE to stripe that car.

Scallops... And make them shiny black. Think it would look cool.

Great looking car but some stripes would add character to it and make it stand out more. Scallops always look good on that style of car too.

    Old-soul:

Gentlemen, thanks for your replies! Now, how about old school cream-yellow-orange-red flames w/blue pinstriping?

Speaking of "old soul", I was backing out of a parking place and this elderly (I'm 58 so he really was elderly - 80ish) drives up behind me in a newer Mercedes and stands on his horn. I nearly crapped my shorts and when I turn around he has his thump up with this HUGE smile and says, "WOW, you like driving that thing?" "You bet." was my answer.

    I'd basically leave it alone.

    Skip the scallops altogether.
Stripe it only if you must, but don't get carried away.

Your buddy looks like he did a great job on the firewall, but since I live in one of the prime breeding grounds of species reddus neckus, I have a serious aversion to anything diamond plate or camo. Just a personal thing.

    Nice car, congratulations! :D

My two cents: I think the style of scallops that "BadLuck" used (in white) would look great on your car; would tie in with the interior and white under the hood. Barely there, but causes you to go back and take a second look.
