I just bought what I thought was a 1935 Ford Pick-Up but when someone saw a photo of it, they said it was a 1936. Can someone tell me where on the frame I can find the VIN number on a 1936 Ford Pick-up.
If it is not on the firewall it should be engraved on the frame (driver's side) on the top about where the steering box would be.
Well its deff a 36 but i see the tag is gone off the firewall and it looks like someone stubed that thing so the vin is probaly gone
If you have any of the original frame left at about the motor mount area the VIN should be on top of that rail. If it has been replaced with the tube steel for your MII front end, it is probably gone.
You have a '36' cab. the windscreen posts are curved at the place where they meet the cowl, '35' are straight with no curve at the bottom of the post. The numbers were stamped on the left hand side chassis rail in three places, front (as mentioned) under the cab and rear (under the bed). Good luck.
Hey welcome and cool start to a project, I sent you a PM also (Personel Message) My 36 frame is also marked on top of the frame rail about where the frame kicks up for the rear end.
The VIN is also on two other spots on the frame, I believe on the top side of the drivers side, above the rear wheel, and the other I forget.
