thanks for the welcomes and howdys guys... ive got some new plans in mind ....junkyard 350 4.00 bore?? cherrybombs....some ideas came from rat rod rumble and some others come from the top of the head. turbo vs. supercharger pros cons but i know that if i turbo it i would be taking a chance if i bore it to warp my walls beacause i know in the honda 4-bangers if you want to run over around 12 pounds it would be a good idea to get it sleeved...

hey guys today i was talking to a guy and he offered me a 283 30 over block with heads for 100$ so i think i have found me a motor for my truck.i want to have a 4 speed with a 268/268 cam with a 4000 stall. i have to get rid of my turbo 350 to get that big cam in there but sometimes you have to sacrifice. personally i would like to do a speedway kit for a straight axel and make it a retro gasser or i may just slamm it and roll for now.

  25. I'm glad to see that you like the old skool stuff, no rice rockets in your future. Good luck with the truck.

    Welcome from Florida.

You say your 11 years old and already building cars?

I thought I started young but that beats me.

Keep doing what your doing and make each car a little bit better as you learn and you will be just fine because that is the way many of us learned how to build cars.

My problem when I was young was not having many tools but the guy who lived near me worked at a garage and each night he would bring home some tools for me to use until the next morning when I had to give them back to him.

    Good Luck. Jimbo

  29. Welcome from Rockmart GA. Henrietta the '38 Ford pickup and Ozelle the '55 Ford send friendly horn honks to you and your Chevy pickup. I've had Henrietta since I was 14, not much older than you, and I am now 58. You can do the arithmetic on how many years that is. After I've dealt with people all day, it feels good to come home and raise the hood of one of my old Fords just to see something I fully understand and can fix if it breaks.
