New to the area living in Tacoma and was wondering if there were any good junk yards or swap meets in the area. Thanks
monroe and puyalup fairgrounds have good swap meets, vancouver washington has american auto wrecking that does cl***ic cars, mustang ranch wrecking yard, I-5 auto by centralia/chehilis,
Nice big swap meet in Portland the first weekend in April. If you go, plan on spending a couple of days at least.
Welcome to the tacoma area. There is suppose to be a place in Auburn that is only open on Sat. that has alot of old cars it's called Trust Salvage. Have not been there myself yet but the guy I got the Chrysler from has.
Puyallup seems to have something going on almost every month and during the Summer it is almost every weekend, or at least it appears that way. The first swap is mid March. Monroe has two of the best small-medium swap meets within a couple hundred miles and Yakima has activity as well. The Portland/PIR meets run for 4 days the first weekend of April but if you plan to attend book your hotel now. You should subscribe to CruZin' magazine, great calendar of events. Call David at 360.331.3953 .
The first swap meet of the year in Puyallup is the 6th and 7th of February. Followed by another one the following weekend. Check out cruizin magazine's calendar on they're web site.
I go there all the time, bought alot of stuff from matt. Hell, im there almost every weekend. Id like to get another group together and head out that way. Just picked up a 29 cowl for 50 bucks from there.
It's All American Cl***ics. in Vancouver Wa. 360-254-8850. They have 20 acres of cl***ics dating back into the 30's. They will let you roam the yard but will not let you pull parts. Don't expect swap meet prices but they are fair.
Welcome to Tacoma ! lots of swaps coming. Corvette and High Performance. Early Bird, etc in Puyallup. PORTLAND is a must, but like said before you'll spend two days easy there and not see everything.
Check your local auto parts stores early in the new year for the "2010 Northwest Automotive Events Calender". Parts supply houses, paint material stores, etc.........You probably wont find one at Schucks type stores.
