Hey guys, an enthusiast here from what seems to be a little different perspective here.

Mining engineering student here, born in 88'. I've been into Volvos/mopar muscle for quite a while. And have been sitting on a 1960 Volvo PV 544 for a while, lo and behold it was too rusty to restore to "stock" condition, especially with a 90hp 4-banger. I run back and forth to Fort mac all the time, so if anyone needs a bit of a pony express coming this january-through august i may be able to provide ***istance.

So, i figure why the hell not restomod it.

Here is what is in the works for it.

MKIII Toyota supra front suspension (widening track by 6-7 inches all around)
    MKVIII Lincoln Rear suspension
All-aluminum volvo 5-cylinder high pressure turbo motor.
Paddle shifters on a ****** made from supra/volvo parts.

As far as progress goes, i've been learning how to weld, got the front suspension jigged up and welded on. Still am doing the rear mounts and swaybar mounts for it.

Lately i've been bracing up the body getting ready to cut out the rockers/firewall and mount the engine.

My mount bushings are in the mail and should be here within a few days, so hopefully after exam time i'll have the motor in before xmas.

And here's a few pics of where i'm at, not much to look at, but it'll get done eventually. Also have a 1966 volvo wagon i'm hoping to drop a diesel into and leave in flat paint and air-ride as a parts hauler/cruiser.

Yeah, but the nice thing is, you get something close to the looks of a 46' tudor, but weighs in at about 2300lbs, is about 3/4 the size and will have ~~300hp or so. Sure it's a lot of work, but no worse than fixing anything else i guess.

i'm half-contemplating doing the same thing with my car, as i've got a beat 122 canadian sedan at the farm but the doors are salvagable.
