I agree. Looks like Caddy 331. It would be factory for a '55 El Dorado. Pretty cool piece. There's one on ebay right now with a 'buy it now' price of $425
It's definitely early Cadillac. I long for the days when I bought one just like it at a local farm auction for $3.00!
Its a 365 1956 cadillac, got one complete, going to use it in an Austin healy sprite, going to beef up the front end with cultivator shanks -
