I bought my 55 olds because I couldnt find a good donner to rebuild 59 buick after it got wrecked. I've been working on the olds for a while when through friends I heard there was a 60 buick at the junkyards storage lot. I went out to look at it and its a 59 invicta 2 door hardtop fully loaded. In great shape.
I'm broke at least to broke to buy the car and the folks wont lend the cash. So I need votes keep the 55 olds

or sell it to buy a new one of these in hardtop form.

I would like to keep em both but it looks like thats not in the cards for me.

  2. I dig the Olds, but ultimately, it's up to you and want you really want to put your hard earned dough and sweat into.

it all really depends on which car you dig more. Both cars are cool and both are hardtops, so either way you're in good shape. However, you should think about which car is further along and which course of action would put you further along financially. If you dumped the Olds and bought the 59 doner car, you still already have your other '59, so you could just take what you need off of either car to put together one complete car and sell the rest. Persoanlly I'd drop the Olds and finish up your '59
    Good luck with it

Hard choice. With the Buick you got a parts car already. Does the Olds run & drive? How about the new Buick? If the Olds doesn't run I would sell it & go for the Buick just because you got a parts supply.

My 59 was a driver before the wreck and all the drivetrain is still good. The olds I got running after I bought it with a tune up but is not a drver yet got some ticking in the heads I need to check out. Also in the buick is freshly rebuilt dynaslow that I got maybee 200 miles out of and a 1000 bucks in it.

Sell Olds, buy Buff, fix it, drive it, and change yer name to LSB instead of LSO. [IMG]

59-60 Buicks rule, ya know. [IMG]

No, wait, nevermind. Tell ME where this 59 is and you'll be able to save both of your cars. [IMG]

I agree. The Olds is a 2 Door and a Hardtop. So is the Buick, but I really think the boxy 50s styled cars are classier looking.

I am aware its my choice, but I love em both this is why I have a dilemma. (Dilemma grammer police) I'm leaning for the Buford though

Tough choice but I'd say sell the Olds and go for the Buick. Once the Buick is straightened out you can find another Olds. Afterall, how many of those Buicks are you gonna find?
