I just picked this baby up at a flee market. Along with a 1952 Ansen Catalogue. Ive never seen one, anyone else? You could buy a full race Jimmy mill with 245 HP for $1050 in 1952...check it out.
Sounds cheap in 2009, but you could buy a damned nice car for $1050 in 1952. In that context, it would be like dumping $20,000 in an engine today.
That's funny; the intake pictured there is identical to the triple intake McGurk sold until he started casting the log manifolds with "McGURK" on the side.
Hell you could get a damned nice 40 Ford Deluxe original paint old lady driven coupe for 300 bucks in 1952
Neat Find -If you copy the Wayne book I sure buy one from you! There was a dirt modified that ran in the late 50's "Six Pack to go" that ran the Wayne motor.
Cool, Here is a link to my catalog from 54. I wonder how much is the same between the different years. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=403532
Looks a lot like the January 1, 1949 Wayne catalog I have, price of the engine less starter was $950.00
I have the real thing-Original Wayne engine(chevy version) I would be interested in a zerox copy or photos of the complete catalog. Rat Racer
