Anything to do in N.C around christmas?

Hi everybody! Me and a friend is going on a road trip in a 66 cadillac(thanks Pistnbroke for all help with the deal and storage)
We are starting in chicago and will do a stop in china groove at my friends relatives house for a couple
of days around christmas.(will end trip in houston)
Must be something hamb friendly in that area??
I know time is not right,but i´m not asking for much either.
Junkyards etc? Just dont want to spend all the time in their house

 

We are about 20-30 minutes from China Grove towards Charlotte. Our club the Iron Lords has a shop night every Wednesday (in our new shop) which you are more then welcomed to come by and hang out. We also all have out own private garages which house our shit so if your are into some bench racing there is that also.

If you like sight seeing, try heading into Asheville to see the Biltmore Estate which is pretty breath taking during that time of year.

I don't think there is anything going on car related on a larger scale unless your are around this weekend but like I said, we are all pretty nice and would love for you to stop by. One of the members is building a '62 galaxie on 14" supremes and from your avatar you probably would dig that. I have a '35 that I'm working one that should be close to running by Christmas.

Just a thought.

From China Grove,,, you are close to the Charlotte Motor Speedway.. many race teams have there shops near there and also in Mooresville NC,, less than 30 minutes either way from China Grove,, also...in Welcome NC,, we have RCR's shops, and Rod Crafters.
