  1. Good to see the Blower back on

I like the fairing, but leave the fenders for my truck.

This is what it looks like without the removeble Hardtop.

Putting that on is a modification I'm really happy about, though...

I vote fenders. You are on the verge of looking like a Bugatti. That would be a very good thing.

  7. After reading, I went back to your original post. Can you try the fenders with the inner edge pulled in closer to the radiator shell which might put the wheels closer to the outer edge?
I like the "no fenders" look better, but just had the thought.

Try the tighter tuck of the 28-29 fronts.
Those '32's do look too "Morgan."
29's would look more "Bentley" ;)
Although, I don't have a problem with a British sports car looking hot rod. There were plenty of guys cut down doors to look like the TR-2-3 and Morgans in the '50's.

If you had to go fenders I'd try 28-29 - due to the extended wheelbase, you need something that will "shorten" the front end, so IMHO early "A" would settle the front of the car down, ans they rise quicker that the 32 fenders you tried.

On the other hand - its a loboy:D:D:D

Check out some late 1920's Bentley and Lagonda fender ideas.

To my surprise I liked the hood w/no fenders version (just my .02).

Fenders are interesting and take it off into a totally new direction. If you want a rod that looks a different, go with the fenders. Some will love it, some will hate it. Not many will be in between and everyone will recognize your car. Even non-car people.

Personally, I like it. There is something about the combo of extreme lowness and big fenders that hooks me. Projects a "Screw you, I'm so bad I can be different" attitude. Also looks like it is going 90 mph just setting there.

I didn't read all the responses so this may have been mentioned.and i'm a bit late to the game with mine....but i'll give it anyway so if it has sorry..:)
The full fender treatment, to me, does nothing for the car. BUT, i'd love to see it with bobbed stock rear fenders and cycle style front's....Maybe made from a 36 Ford spare tire ring (maybe)...
In my mind that vision reminds me of the late 40's early 50's east coast gowjobs ..

Slick car as she is though....always thought that.

    Tony

ps: i really dig the look with the hood too.

  15. Kinda "Cruella DeVille-ish" with the fenders- I like it better without!

I'm with Stovebolt and/or Tony. Could be cool to do fender and have something real different but those are just way too big. Borrow something different and play some more.
    Neat idea.

I'm gonna go against the grain.....

The problem with those fenders is they're too short. If longer and more flowing they'd work a lot better and make that body/roof combo look like vintage luxury.

    Good luck!

That's still one of my top 10 favorite HAMB cars...

With the fenders, it reminds me of those old Loony Tunes Cartoons, when the villain would drive a getaway car that was so long that the front of the car would turn a corner before the rest of the car reached the corner.

i like fenders, go against the grain. The front fenders would def. have to be narrowed, or something to fill the well.

You car though man, diff or not, do what you will have the most fun with!

I'm a fan of the fenders. Get them to flow a little and you've got yourself a winner!

  26. those fenders are too large, looks like Dumbo ears.

    another for no fenders.
    nice car

  28. what are those 32 fenders????/
put some 28/29 fronts on there and it will tighten up the look a lot.
also with the dropped axle it shortens up the track width a lot
i am a fan of the fenders but not those on that car
