My dad and I have been building a couple cars over the last few years and the HAMB has been an absolute goldmine of information and help for us. The focus lately has been on my dad's '55 Chevy. This car started as a very nice frame off resto, original style '55 with a blue flame 6 and a powerglide. Dad found an old, untouched '66 Corvette 327 and this was just the perfect motor for the chev. So, we yanked the 6 and powerglide and dropped in the 327 with a TH400 auto. Next, dad put black walls on it, and cut a couple coils up front. Here's the car as of tonight (color is horrible, stupid cell phone pics!): We have run into TONS of stupid little issues, that without the help of the HAMB crowd we would have given up. We're still working some bugs out of the motor, but we're getting close. So, to all the HAMBers that helped us along the way, THANK YOU! For those of you doing Bonneville 2010, we will see you there and we will be driving this thing, so come say hi. Big mac.
Those are the stock wheels, just ditched the white walls. The 6 and powerglide were sold off quite awhile ago.
