Does anyone know of a 12 volt blower motor that will work in a 1940 Ford Sedan? Trying to re-use the original heater. My 6 volt is trashed already and I would rather go to a 12 volt. I realize that I will have to modify some things. Just spent an hour at the parts store trying to find one the right size. Surely I'm not the first one to do this. Any help would be real cool. Thanks

Why not take the old motor to an electric motor shop and see if they can match it up in size with something in the 12v range? I did that with my other cars and it worked out real well, and it was really reasonably priced..

Some guys are using old computer blowers. They're really cheap and all sizes and voltages. I don't think they move a ton of air but should be enough..........

Just finished. Finally found a 12 volt blower motor that was close. May be the same as the VDO from Chevs Of The Forties. Four Seasons part # 35576. Single speed but it is reversable. Body is a little longer so I had to modify The back of the mounting location but it works good. Also had to cut the front shaft down and the front studs. This thing moves alot of air.
