Can't go, but I need a pair of Mel Burns Ford licence frames. Score me a pair and I'll pay you for the trouble.
I'm going - rain or shine - looking for any good deals on old sports cars or rods - I know, usually the 50% rule applies (asking prices are twice what the cars are worth) but I'll try my luck again . . .
I'm at the point if I go there and don't find what I'm looking for, I pick up deals even if I don't need it right now. I have a little stock pile of parts for future projects. A couple of 37-41 axles that I scored for a total of $30 for the pair. Spare wishbone sets and what not. Lots of other misc parts that I got for dirt cheap that I will find a use for later on.
I went this afternoon with my brother, we spent 4 hours there and picked up a bunch of good deals. It's going to be COLD !!!!!! Not many spaces taken, might be kinda sparse on Sunday, if there's anything left. I went to the Peterson Museum Garage Sale this morning - complete waste of time!!! If you missed it, you didn't miss a thing. The only deal I saw there was back issues brand new in plastic of the Rodders Journal for $5 each !!! Most of the vendors were selling diescast cars, car alarms, wax/polish, t-shirts....etc.
I just checked the weather and theyre callin for rain ... I'll go outside around 3:00 am and see what the weather is like .. Only silver lining if it rains is that Jan. 17 will be packed with vendors ...
