I just bought a set of used US Indy mags, and they are getting shipped to my buddy in Texas. I need to find a good wheel restoration company in Texas that will restore them for me at a reasonable price. Here is a picture of what they look like... As you can see, they need to be fully buffed, and a few nicks repaired (I know there are companies which can fix these, as I researched it before buying them). The are made of aluminum/magnesium. Any recommendations in Texas would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
have the nicks repaired then find a stray axle they will bolt to then have a local machine shop have then slighty shaved down. then get your sandpaper out and start sanding. google "wheel polishing"
nice thing about slotted mags you can practice on the backside and not screw them up. keep us posted on your next tech thread "mag wheel restoration"! don't forget the pic's.
I think star wheel in dallas is still around. It is where all the dealerships send bent and scratched rims. My sister was going to have one of her weld Draglites worked on, but opted not to. They were ready and willing to though.. Edit.. sorry Star Tire http://www.wheelrepairbyadam.com/wheelrepair/home.html
