i've noticed we don't welcome the new guys like before when i joined, wondered about that and looked at a few intro's and realised that alot of these guys can't follow simple instructions, wtf ? you are to tell us about yourself, not sell me a supercharger or ask where to get fenders,i don't understand why this is so complicated,i mean you see a guy with one post trying to sell something,i feel violated but i understand but hey i'm joe blow from neverwas and i'm looking for a radio delete plate for my packard?huh? anyway admin you can delete this i just wanted to vent,

There's over 90,000 members here now...isn't it time we thinned the herd? :D The part that I don't get is no matter who you are or what you know, don't come on here and in the first month run your mouth off at guys that have been here forever...I mean seriously, we don't want to hear your ****ing whining about the forum rules, or deal with your sorry *** for trying to push the envelope like a douchebag rebel...just shut the **** up every now and then and take some advice...if you want to butcher some old cars up because you're broke and all you got for parts is an S-10 and a '87 Ford pickup to get your '54 Chevy on the road so you can look "kool", then I think ruffrodders is accepting applications...

i try my best to let them know that they dont belong here if they only want stuff or want to sell stuff.they need to first int.them selves, look around, maybe help then after a while they can get some help.it is way diff.then when i first got on.deff.not as many people tearing up fng's.i use to like it{and still do}.also dont forget there are so many people on here now that a new post can get burried 3 pages back in about a minute.

I'm not so tough on the buyers or sellers, as long as they follow the rules...if we pissed off every guy that came here to sell stuff, we'd have to look even harder for that '38 Chevy grille shell for $20 that the guy is sick of seeing laying around his shop...or the guy willing to pay $300 for a rotten Dodge cowl...I'm more peeved by the losers that want to push ****ons and question the forum rules or don't understand why their '87 Dodge pickup isn't a hot rod...

Kenny, there's no such thing as "too wide", or apparently you haven't seen some of the abominations that show up on the forum from time to time...
And my '38 Butfor is the super rare 7 window roadster...

It's the same reason that I don't grab a guitar and sit with the older pickers at the guitar shop. As good as I think I am, I really don't know ****. And I might wind up looking like an ***. I do like to watch and learn, though.

I could care less if you are a FNG-newbie-grenade launcher-alliance member-or the man in the moon, as long as you can respect this site for what it is, and follow the guidelines accordingly!.... Great information, and a terrific way to communicate with fellow brothers and sisters of our shared p***ion. It is tempting to slam someone, just because you know soo much, but is that really effective? I think we can steer them in the right direction, without insulting them-it's a different world now. Don't we want young or new people to be interested in our shared hobby? I do....Hell, I might even learn something.

I have muffler bearing compound @ $2.99 a qt.!! PM me.

I am looking for 2 1/4 inch LH exhaust bearings, I used the RH ones but think I must need the LH as all the exhaust fluid leaked out.

    Thanks for the help.

You guys are right and i am still a bit of a newbie having been here only a couple years, but seems like people aren't looking at the intro posts. Case in point, last week Bob Bilbo's sister (Lois?) joined the hamb and her intro was a thank you for all the support and recognition that the hamb had given her father - Pat Bilbo, ch***is fabricator extraordinare, owner of Lynwood Welding, a pioneer in the early days of FED and builder of Joe Tucci's dragsters. I think less than 10 people welcomed this lady to the hamb. I was a little embar***ed, but as others have pointed out the volumne quickly burried her post.
On a lighter note, i have this '37 Spinster that i'd trade for that 7 window roadster and a piece of that quart of muffler bearing compound - it isn't used is it?

I really should read the intos more often, but I do make it a point to welcome FNG's when they post a reply and add something to a thread. I remember back when I first joined I didn't post anything in the cl***ifieds until I'd added 20-25 replies and hopefully helped a few people first. Reading the rules and following them is a neat concept. I'll rejoin the HAMB Alliance as soon as some extra bucks arrive. Merry Christmas!:)
