I purposely kept going p***ed this thread because I knew it couldn't be good and what could possibly be said to give comfort. I just gave my son a phone call just to say hi. Very sorry for your loss and hope that somehow the coming holidays can give some comfort for the family ..........................

Oldmanolds, As I saw the ***le to this thread, I thougth about the loss of my best friend many years ago, then as I read it and saw that your best friend was also your son I just could not imagine that. It was hard loosing my best friend, but he was not a brother, son, nor father to me. Words cannot do much, I know, but hopefully they can help some and you realise there are a lot of people here as well as in your everday life that will be there for you. I sure hope time eases the pain some and you can fall back on the memories you and your son shared. Thought and preyers will be sent. I wish you the best, Al.

It's the worst thing that could ever happen to a parent. My condolences are all I have to give, I hope it helps a little.
I am so sorry for your loss. My 10 yr old son has developed what will be a life lasting medical issue, that we are dealing with. I do not pertend to feel what you are going thru, but I hope you can find strength in family, friends, and faith, to help you in these sad times. All three have helped me. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
As I sit here reading this thread and all the comments I want to thank my HAMB family. It means a lot to me and my family that so many of you take the time to respond. My son was one of the greatest people I've ever known. He spent 20 years serving his country as a US Marine. He loved his country and family. His p***ing will be a loss for not only me but everyone he has touched.
I am so sorry to hear that you lost your son. What an awful tragedy. I too lost my son (my best friend). After ten years I can finally talk about it. You and your family are in my prayers. I know what all of you are going through. Rick
Sorry for your loss, our family just went thru the same thing a month ago. It is very hard to deal with but you will get through it!! Gotta keep your head up.
