Hey Rockett. Are you the drummer that played the 40's swing beat to the Poison remake of "Your Mamma Don't Dance"? I've been trying to get drummers to play that beat for at least fourteen years with not much success. I'm a geezer that plays country swing for dances but I like some of the hair stuff too.

Why in the world did you sell that righteous truck?

  7. Welcome. It was cool that you contacted Action Girl (Stacey) and her scooter trash artsie queen follow-there-won-rules friends and fooled everybody inviting them backstage to....talk about scooters!!! Her mom shared the pics with me a while back. Very cool to do that. Maybe she can return the favor by having you backstage at the pie-run her Pop puts on for Thanksgiving day, to talk about pie. Nice bikes.

BTW: **** all that! If you get paid and people come to see you, you are a pro! End of story. [IMG]

Your right, thats what my old man has always told me.

BTW, I see that you made the cover of Scoot Mag! Cool!

  10. You're famous and rich. Seems to me that you must have done something right, regardless of what people think of your music.

Most of the haters here probably rocked out to it back when and are just too cool for school to admit it now anwyway.

I think it is pretty cool that the last few "stars" that have come on here can take it and are hanging in even after some of the stuff that happens from time to time.

I know nothing really about Rikki, nor did I know much about Cab but they have both been pretty cool about everything and cl*** acts (this comming from the guy that may not be Cabs fav person[IMG]). Car guys is car guys pure and simple.

BTW, is that your real name or did you change it...I do remember seeing you on MTV or something back in the mid 80's and thought Olds and Cadillac when I heard two of your names in the interview...I can't remember what the other guys name was...Coupe DeVile or something?

Holy Cow! I have been swamped at work and away from the computer for a couple of days and look what the **** happens. One of my all time heros comes around. Rikki I hope you stick around!

By the way Andy, it is a 300 disc CD changer FULL of hair bands.

I also I LIKED the "Native Tounge" album.

I have never been a "closeted" metal fan and defend it openly to this day.

Enough nut swinging, I just got off work, back to the GARAGE!

    Metal OUT!

The beer was half price for us. In other words that's 40 $2 drinks a****st the four of us, including shots, so that's 10 drinks per person.

Whadda****, I can't believe I'm discussing my alcoholism with total strangers, and hijacking a REAL rock star's thread.

Welcome, I`m 34 so you know I was a hair band guy....still have the hair to prove it. Yeah, I`m not real popular at the greaser shows! [IMG]

    [/ QUOTE ]

I know exactly what you mean ***dragger. I can't remember the last time I went to the barber shop for a haircut. It sure is strange how alot of greasers act towards someone that doesn't look like a greaser. Some greasers I've talked to see my Buick and then they look at me and say "That's YOUR car?" It always cracks me up!

As far as the hairbands go--I was a heavy metal, hair band freak in the 80s. Spent every weekend cruising Colfax in one of my buddies' Chevelles, Camaros or Novas until way early in the morning! Also, I remember camping out for tickets--something that has gone away in the computer age. Camping out was just another name for a parking lot party! As far as Concerts go, hair band concerts were THE BEST place to see hot chicks! Chicks in mini skirts with no underware, high heels, taller hair, tons of war paint. Those were the days! I remember once at a Motley Crue concert we were in the second row. At one point during the show, when they played Home Sweet Home, we actually turned around and watched the crowd. There were lots of women taking clothes off! It was unbelievable! Better than a night at the ***ty bar to a 17 year old! Definitely made me think I wanted to be a rockstar!

Wow, I hadn't thought about that stuff for a long time. Anyway, welcome R.Rockett..................kool to have some famous kats on the board! Layta..................E

    Hey Mr Rocket,
Good to have ya here. I had 2nd row on the tour with Great white and Ratt. Brought back alot of memories...But didnt help with my hair restoration program. Bob Spina spoke very highly of your striping abilities when I taught with him at the Airbrush Action Getaway in Vegas last year. He told me about your travels across the country pinstriping toilet seats while on tour. Too cool.
I do cover art for a few bands still, Megadeth has been my latest project. I am currently working on apparel designs for their tour. I also do design work for Jackson guitars as well. That is my last remaining conection in the music industry.

Look forward to seeing you guys again. Fight the the good fight!!!
