Ok,as no surprise here,Id like some opinions,I'm trying to make my roadster alittle more 60's maybe with a little dragrace inspiration.I have 2 puctures, one with vd spreader bar,the other with the moon tank back on,I ran the tank before, but now I am running the halibrand style wheels and the header turnouts, what do u all think?

  4. I have an opinion, the Australian government should lift regulation on modified cars to a tolerable level without sacrificing safety.

Chev motors should never be seen in Fords.

Hemis and Nailheads can go acceptably in ANY car.

Soma McCahill is a super babe.

    Oh, and with the tank.

    Doc.

Either way. There were roadsters in the 60's with Moon tanks, most were used on the drag cars for fuel as intended. There were always a few that just liked the look. My only real issue is the obstruction of air flow during traffic in the summer, but you probably don't encounter the heat we do here in Oklahoma.

    x2 on the Halibrands.

  18. Moon tanks were mounted on drag cars in the early 60's, but almost never seen on street cars. Nowadays it seems like every poser want's to play like they'er racers with Moon tanks, number's on the door and an incorrect cl*** painted somewhere on the car.

Rich, I totally agree, it goes hand in hand with running Moon discs on your '68 Ford pickup that the body is rotting off of and has never seen any sort of racing...but I will admit that on some vehicles those little racing touches look great...personally, I'd either hook it up as a puke tank or an actual reserve fuel tank...yeah, it's still a poser look, but the car is nice enough to pull off the look...

I kinda dig the tank stuck on there. I would definately make it useable though. Maybe something simple like a coolant overflow, whiskey flask or something.

If you're a poser, than I am too. So from one poser to another "Man that looks hella cool with that tank on there bro!" Dig the tank. Run it.

You need to ditch the tank, and the halibrands too.. you can send them to me, and I'll make sure they are disposed of properly :)

Ok I put the tank on today, and the new wheels and tires,I love the wheels and tires, but the tank is a no go,It was fine when it was on the car the first time,5 years ago,but being that the car is much nicer looking now,the tank messes it up,so thanks for all the comments and opinions guys,as always I appreciate it.
