Looking for pictures of floor supports, inner rockers, floor board repairs, etc from 49-54 chevy's. About to start repairing mine, and there isn't much left to go off of. Will probably just bend up some floor supports from 16 or 18ga sheet and replace them all the way across. Anyone have pictures of the floor supports from the bottom, or with the floor pans removed?
Heres a link to an article in RodnCustom, not alot there but it may help... http://www.rodandcustommagazine.com...acement_sheetmetal_1949_1952_chevy/index.html
Click here: Classic Chevy Car Parts | National Chevy Association I do have some floor supports for 53-54 chevy I can take pic.s of, but I think 50 is diffrent. let me know.
these are from a 52 sedan. starting at the top is the rear body mount under the trunk, then the 2 gas tank mounts, the 3rd goes under the rear seat, then the next 2 go under the front seat. the seat bolts to these. the two small ones are what EMS shows above. they are inside the car kind of by the front door jamb where your feet go. I got about $450.00 for theses in seperate auctions about 2 years ago. below is the same parts from the other end. when I part a car out I don't throw anything away.
did you ever find an answer for the floor supports question? i am at the same spot right now on my 54 210 and was wondering what you found out. i have inner and outer rockers, but havent found anything already stamped out for the floor supports.
Be careful where you get your parts from. Never had a problem with Chevs of the 40's but they also carry panels made from Schott Panels. This is the same Co. that made panels for my Tbird and they are not very good quality. If you do buy from them make sure they are EMS. Shit! Just noticed this is an old post.
i figure everyone hits an old post now and again so, does anyone know if there is a source for 53-54 floor supports?
