Customs 49 Ford Dash in 36 Ford

I would like to put a for 40 dash in my ford 5o ? Any body tried it? Or what others dash can bring out the 50?

 

Good question. First of all, the '49 dash has those sergeant stripes on either side of the speedo. Then there's the question of the knobs. I have the round, all-metal ball knobs going into my '49, but there were also those bakelite/early plastic knobs that I THINK went into 1950 Fords?

Feel free to correct me here.

But other than knobs, there really was not much difference--I believe.
