So I was driving to a guys house that i work with. never been there before. Rounded a curve and came across what looks like an abandoned shop with a few cars outside in the weeds. there was a house next door. knocked but no answer. took some pics of the car. its in great shape, inspection sticker from 02. no serious body rot. all original. really great potential. when i got to my friends house, i asked him about it. he actually knows the guy that owns the car. he is supposed to find out about it for me. hopefully its for sale and we can make a deal. anybody got some pics of kustom 53 oldsmobiles?
here are some pics of the car

  6. Glad to hear...that was a ****ty deal, glad you got around it...

That Old's has tons of potential...I think it would look great with a similar approach as your truck...simple and sharp

Looks good, but what is that all inside the car?Looks like maybe a miold of sime kind,or spilled paint?I can see a few rust issues, especially if it's been in moist gr*** like that for a while.

my first car back in '64. a green dr 88. $30 in two payments. still have the scar on my arm from where the hood gouged me as i was taking it off to install a '56 engine in it. the '56 smoked worse than the '53.

Here's a photo of a friends '52 Olds 98. I'm no Olds expert so I don't know how simillar they are to a '53 but looks kind of close.
I've always really liked this particular car.

if no one answered the door there's only one thing to do man. move into the house, take over the shop and drive the olds! great find, hope you can get it.

  25. Sure hope you can save it. It really bothers me to see a car that nice sitting out in the weeds, left to rot away. Very disturbing.

That's an amazing find especially in that shape. I'll say a prayer for you with hopes that you can purchase it in the near distant future.
