Here is one that may give you a little bit of inspiration. Bought it back in high school in '94, a 4 door, later in college decided to try my skill and patience and decided on chopping the top, but a 4 door chop top was not going to work, so I had to do a 2 door conversion for it to look decent. Still not done, I have alot of work to do, but its a 1953 Olds. Other changes include changing out the front sheetmetal to 51 Olds, using 2 door convertible door for the conversion and a 40's Ford rear gl*** surround. Good luck with your project.

the 53 and 54 gm cars are so versatile in that you can build a custom, sled, g***er or a lowrider out of them and they all look good...good luck with yours it looks like a solid piece to start with

good start learn all you can, be careful with jacks and jack stands, learn all you can about working safe!! the people on hamb have alot of good info dont be affraid to ask questions!!
