39-48 ford front end question

    i need the distance between the r/s tie rod end to the l/s tie rod end. and the od size of the bar it`s self........i realize they may have different sizes but just need to get an idea of whats out there so i can decide.......really would appreciate what ever you can provide thanks in advance

    actually the length of the sleeve that runs from one tie rod to the other is what i really need..........any one help??

    I made my own and the .875 OD, .625 ID DOM tubing measures 42.5" accross. This is for a '36 PU front end with 4" dropped axle and split wishbones. The front ends were pretty much the same from '35-41 so I think you'd probably need two answers one for each set of years.

    Ford tie rods...the bare part, no ends:
    '32-34, replaces '28-31: 43 1/2"
    '35-6 45"
    '37-41 43.65"
    '42-48 45.80"
