Buddy of mine in High School had a white 62 with a red front clip. Got bashed in. After a rebuild we took a 3 pound coffee can and laid out red scallops on the doors.

Ran it that way all our senior year. Was bout too cool even in 71.

    Wonder what its doing now?
Best to you on your endeavor. I love these cars and Perkins 62 is the reason..

I actually sold mine and got it back. I had just started college and didn't want to see it just sit there and waste away(I didn't want to be THAT guy). I sold it to a guy in my home town for him to fix up. He pulled the engine and dumped it in a pasture until 2008. I swooped in and offered him a little cash and project snowball began. A lot of work, a parts car and a plan brings me to where I am now.

Not much going on as far as updates go. I did receive my clutch pedals from a fellow HAMBer. I am going to put them in this weekend and ***ess the method I will use to mate them to my clutch master cylinder. I am going to clean the pedals up and give them a frsh coat of paint. [IMG]

It has been quite a while since I have updated this. As of right now the car is jammed and the roof is finished. I decided on lace to have something unique. The main part of the body will be Oxford Blue and the top is Corinthian White with Oxford Blue lace over it. I am hoping to have the car painted in the next couple of months and get to putting it back together. I also pulled the rack and pinion off and went back with a stock power steering setup I figure I can sell the rack setup and put that money back in the car.

Sorry to dig an older thread.

The rack went away because I was having all sorts of problems with my clutch linkage. I really enjoyed rebuilding the factory power steering setup and I learned a lot. So far the main body of the car is painted and I am trying to track down a windshield. Progress has been slow due to limited funds and not enough hours in the day.
