If anyone out there has ever installed a 42 Ford grille on a 46 Ford, did it involve a bunch of modifications or was it pretty straight forward? Thanks.
You need a "new" hood , and i guess you may the three pieces in the middle, since the 42 hood is narrower. I mounted 42-46 fenders on my 42 without problem.
The panel below the grille, behind the gravel pan, is different 42-46. The hood width is different where the grille meets the hood, but it will still close and work.
