Figured I'd fulfill one of the requirements - introduction. I'm Wayne from Belen, NM. I'm building a '36 Hudson Terrplane 2-Door Sedan with a '59 283 and a 700R4, Toyota Pickup independent front suspension (hey, it fit exactly). Also enjoying a '68 MGB convertible in fantastic condition that I bought from a co-worker this past April for $1K. Will search the other posts to find information on things I need to work on without asking the same questions that have been asked thousands of times before. Will also post photos of the Terraplane and the MGB.... Is it legal to ask questions about newer cars and ***ociated problems? Looking forward to chatting with y'all. Wayne
Welcome. New Mexico is in the USA?? Wow that's news to me. I'm in Edgewood. Was at Harla Mays yesterday.
welcome Wayne,I reside in Belen also.Im the guy that always has the old Chevys west of 314 between PNM and MyBank(old Bank of Belen).
Glad to hear about another 36 Terraplane is being worked on, I am building a 36 4door with a 51 Ford flathead.
DMW56, You know NM is the only state in the Union that has to put USA on their license plates. When I returned to the US from Italy back in '92, my sister asked where I was going to be stationed. When I told her New Mexico, she asked why I couldn't get stationed in our country for a change. AMC360, I bought my 2-door about 5 years ago for $1400 - only missing the radiator, intake & exhaust, front bumper, and p***enger front seat. Slowly smoothing it, making the motor & transmission mounts, etc, etc. Mistgreen50, we'll have to meet at Frances Cafe on South Main and have breakfast & coffee in the next few weeks. Swap stories (lies) and get to know each other. Mist & DMW - let's all find a place in Albuquerque to meet and greet.... Probably after the 1st of the year. 'Preciate all the welcomes - looking forward to sharing information (I'll probably come out better in this situation because with all I know, y'all will get the short end of the stick). Wayne
