I'm going to have to flake on this one. The family is all sick and sudden death may result if I go:rolleyes:. Have fun and Bad Bob, make sure you take a good "variety" of pictures! I'll send a PM to the oher desert guys to get their number to you for a caravan if they plan to make it....

  5. I am out for the festivities, I have a feeling the 5 will be closed trapping us Bako HAMBers, I wanted to bring up the tailend of the caravan as I drive an o/t vehicle and its so much fun to drive at 330 am to L.A. Thanks anyway for starting the caravan Bob.-Weeks

Rain, Rain Go Away, Come Again Some Other Day.

Its raining in the OC right now.

  7. I think it'll be dry enough for a few hours tomorrow. Enough to have a reasonable event.

  8. Yahoo weather this morning....

...PERIODS OF RAIN WILL AFFECT CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
    THROUGH SUNDAY...

AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH IN THE EASTERN PACIFIC WILL MOVE INTO THE WEST
COAST LATER TODAY AND TONIGHT. ANOTHER STRONGER UPPER LOW WILL PUSH
INTO THE WEST COAST SATURDAY NIGHT. VARIOUS IMPULSES ASSOCIATED WITH
THESE SYSTEMS WILL BRING PERIODS OF RAIN TO CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN
    CALIFORNIA THROUGH SUNDAY.

THERE MAY BE SOMEWHAT OF A BREAK IN THE RAIN LATE SATURDAY MORNING
INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON...THEN ANOTHER PERIOD OF RAIN...THIS ONE
LIKELY HEAVIER...WILL AFFECT THE ENTIRE REGION LATE SATURDAY
AFTERNOON OR EVENING INTO SUNDAY MORNING.

I've loaded the RPU with rain gear and a tarp. I've got my fingers crossed that the storm will hold off until Saturday night.

On our way. Hope it's clear. What's the best route from palm springs

  25. 60 frwy, west, to the 605 north...Can't miss it. Look for the big sign on the west side of the 605.

  26. About 20(?) miles West of Palm Springs area, on the 10, you can pick up the 210, take it to the 605 and go South to the very 1st off ramp (Arrow). I think the 60 is way South of there and I don't think there's an off ramp going N. on the 605
