Well Denise, it's raining right now and the worst is yet to come apparently, it looks like i'm gonna drive the Galaxie. It doesnt have wipers and that's just fine, but it has door glass!!! It's a bummer, i know, some people are gonna give me shit, but it's my car and i don't wanna fuck it up, it's too nice for driving in a storm and i've never had something that nice!!! This car i will take great care of and trust me, IM VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

I don't know about that!!

We'll see but im sure gonna give it my best!!

I do need a better compressor and a shop, which will happen very soon!!! Beginning of the year!! Nothing crazy but a little bigger than my garage!!

 

I've enjoyed your posts quite a bit and apparently this good fellow has also. It seems to me there must be a way to pay this guy back for his selflessness.

If everyone(including myself) who have enjoyed your threads were to send the anon. guy $1.00, he'd have a pretty nice holiday for being such a generous person.

That is too cool. I know you have already heard it a thousand times, so go out and practice and fall in love with it as they are all a labor of love. You are half way there already as you love the hobby and any mistake you make in painting can be fixed. there will be days when it is frustrating and then there are days when you roll it outside and every car that drives by slows way down so they can take in your latest artistic expression in metal. Dont get in a hurry or get discouraged and have a blast.

all i have really gotten off the hamb is a wealth of knowledge and the answer to any question i've ever asked. that's plenty for me.

 

Ian, you're one of them good people you're describing above.... what goes around comes around you have been super patient with our transaction and so the good karma is just coming back your way man- i know who to come see to get my roadster painted (when i build another one years down the road)

Super cool, man! Hats off to whomever did such a cool deed. I've met some really great folks here on the HAMB, and seen some really selfless acts. I have said it a few times on here- the HAMB really has renewed my faith in mankind.

 

hang around a little longer and that newfound faith will be snatched away! lol there are some good folks on here, unfortuneately there's alot of douchebags too- but it's the good folks that keep me around here. Guys have opened their homes to me during my travels, i've hauled roadster bodies from california to oklahoma, etc. and made good friends along the way. Hell i even got a roommate after my divorce years ago on the hamb lol. Found a job here too when i took a hiatus from my career. Who'da thunk the Hamb would provide all that?

cool story ian, couldnt have happened to a nicer, more deserving guy. i love the hamb too. one fellow sent me a part i was looking for free of charge because he had it and was not going to use it. what a great group of guys and gals. have a great holiday season everyone.

Why Ian....is that a digital flow meter built into the handle, that tells you how much air is going through the gun? Fancy....

Another thing you may consider when you go looking for paint, is that the paint suppliers from time to time offer "clinics" put on by paint reps. You might ask them to be put on they're list of upcoming clinics if they have any. That way you keep up to date on the latest technology.

Ok, I haven't known Ian long at all. That being said, this guy's humility and gratitude is really the real deal. He truly is in awe at all the kind words and love that we all have for him and his talent. Keep up the good work bro. I know your future in this field is a bright one.
