I've been looking forward to this for a long time and I've sacrificed to get out of town for a bit. I'm going no matter what... See you all there.

I SO agree with you on this! Every year it's suppose to rain, and then it doesn't.

Very true. Those dark clouds looked scary, but not one drop.

Me and the rest of the Black Widows CC will be there for sure!

Just got back... definately got a little wet, but it was my first Mooneyes show so wasn't gonna miss it. Made the trip from Bakersfield and only had to pull my '32s seat out of my butt twice!

i had enough fun driving in the pouring rain for everyone...including the people who didn't go. my bone stock 6 volt, straight 6 Flathead hammered the drive without a glitch! i am sure glad i don't have a roadster though...a couple of those guys are REAL troopers!

  13. Oh come on. You really think a week's gonna make a dif? It is what it is. I've been going for many yrs with great weather. The past few have had a drizzle or two, and some drove home in the rain one year. But, I can see moving it a week and it rain like Hell, wishing we'd left it alone;). And it only rained 99% of the time:D

  16. TRUE. I can honestly say it was the best rained on event I've ever witnessed. Soon as I pulled off the freeway and saw all the easy-ups from a mile or so away, I knew it was gonna be good. When I passed the gate and saw all the cars/Vendors, I was very impressed. Thanks again to the Mooneyes staff. Well done

Man I HATE myself right now... Somehow I got in my head this was on SUNDAY!!! I'm sitting here Googling it to see if it still going due to the rain and realize I f@cking missed it!!! Been looking forward to it for months :(!!!

When is the next show in the SoCal area that would cater to the same crowd?

    Welcome,

Judging by the pics I wouldnt be too dissapointed that you missed this year's event. Ive been going to this event since back in 2001 when they would do it @ the Elks Lodge in Whittier if im not mistaking and this year's show wasnt the greatest example. I give a lot of respect for the people who still drove out (especially the ones that drove hours) and attended, but this is the first year since 2001 that I ranked out...
Oh well, that just means more people will show up next year (weather permitting).
Anyway to answer your question the next event that would "cater to the same crowd" is the Grand National Roadster Show @ the Fairplex in Pomona, that one doesnt really get affected by the weather because its mainly an indoor show..
Now go do an introduction before you get crap for it!!
