Just a note to mention that it's been one year since Bettie Mae Page p***ed away.. Some may know she is the reason the pin ups are called "betties" she was the Queen of the pin ups, also did a ******* spread in 1955. I never saw her in person but her look has become the standard.. I think some of her glory was overshadowed by a couple of blondes that came out about the same time, Marilyn Monroe & Jayne Mansfield, but I still dig her cl***ic beauty...
whoa crazy and here's why: i haven't even thought about bettie page for a looong time. today while driving i saw a black (modern) car driving with custom plates that said: "beti pge"
If you've never seen the movie "The Notorious Bettie Page", it's worth a watch. You will learn a lot about a woman that many simply view as a *** symbol.
Bettie was the best......There is actually supposed to be a "authorized" movie about her life........I hope it sees the light of day soon. http://www.bettiepagemovie.com/
Bettie was the best and we should all miss her. She was a unique lady that truely brought the "Pin Up" to the mainstream. My wife is a pin up model and we both think alot of Bettie.
Rusty Gem:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o> Thank you for making this thread and remembering! <o></o> Bettie sure did have charisma and so much beauty. I saw the movie "The Notorious Bettie Page", and I was encouraged afterward because I found out she didn't drink alcohol and she believed in God. I'm a pin up model and I have those things in common with her.<o></o> Long live cl***y pin ups, +..Lacy Lane
Just saw the movie about her recently and it was great to see past the stereotype, I hope the movie was fair and accurate. Sorry to here of here parting this life. May God bless!.
A year already.... that was fast.......RIP Bettie....she was (IMHO) the ***iest Pinup Model ever!!! She was and still is an Icon..........
