Show your air cleaner...

Looking for something for my street rod. Custom made or specialty type to replace the generic style Im using.

 

i went through *****in products and got a caddy batwing cleaner with my choice of cover for arond $220. it came in bare metal but would need to be smoothed out a little better to be chromed.

 

that type wont work on mine , hits master cylinder. Too wide.

 

Thickstun on a 347 Pontiac - drilled between the ribs

 

PBR on a 327

 

I dunno what could replace that and be more "right". What you have matches the valve covers nicely and fits in pretty good.

I really like that, i've never seen one just like it are they common there?

 

I just fold and electrical tape a "dryer sheet" over my street rod's carb.-Weeks

You could always try doubling your filter thickness or getting a larger one to change the look.

Built this for my roadster out of 2 Corvair air cleaner tops.

Here's the one on my "Street Rodney", I couldn't find one off a Caddy.

 

Right from Purolator in 1956...at the Ford dealer parts counter. Decal on the right side.
