I'm planning on a Volare clip install in my 55 F100 shortly, and I would like to know whether or not you used the templates to install the clip. If not, how did you go about it. I bought the Unlimited video, but I'm still wondering if there's a better option. I would like to know how you guys handled the install, video, templates or otherwise. Really need some help with this. Thanks a bunch

The videos are ok, but I'm trying to get some info on the best way to get the measurements.

Take a look at www.ford-trucks.com go to 48-60 forum and search for volare install. Which video do you have? Is it the No Limit Engineering one? If not, I have one that I could share. Joe

I do have the Unlimited video. I was kinda wondering if the templates would be better. $150 for templates seems kinda expensive, but if they are the best way...

  6. IMHO.... Dump the Volare clip. Old school. Parts are getting harder to find (bushings, bearings, brakes) and costly.
For the cost of the templates to install the Volare clip you can buy a GM clip out right. I put a 81' Monte Carlo stup on my 50 M1 and it was a very simple job.
I have a few build pictures in my online album.
