Hey guys, Im from Wisconsin. Finally found my body for my rod project. Im pumped to join your community. My cousin and I found a gold mine, he picked up a 33 chevy 5 window coupe and the car i bought the guy told me it was a late 20's dodge. But after getting it home I think its either a Pierce Arrow, Hudson or Packard. From what I can tell is that it was a four door sedan and cut down to a truck cab during the Great Depression. I still dont know if im going to build a truck or or graft on some quarters off a roadster and build a 3 window coupe. I do know i will be building a 50's style traditional hot rod. The goal is to have it done for my birthday in April. Heres some pictures of the cars how we found them, and after we got them home, and a picture the grille i will be running, its off a generator.

April?!...really?! Cool man. I don't know how your gonna do it that fast, but I applaude your effort either way. Looks like some nice finds. Hope you start a build thread because I would like to watch it come together.

i dont think its that lofty of a goal, I have the motor, trans, frame, front end, rear end, a box for if i make it a truck and some misc. if it wasnt so cold here already im sure it would be a roller by now. im hoping to build this thing for around 2k.. we'll see.

I it will be close, but 2 grand shouldnt be that hard. Im building a old skool back to basics traditional rod, im running a sbc dressed like a late 50's mill, ive been pretty lucky with deals, i bought my running motor and trans for $250, rolling 36 ford frame for $150, the body was $600, the truck box was $100, grille with radiator for $60, some sweet 5" bullett headlights for $20, so yeah im just over $1,000 but all the big parts are bought. so now alot of cutting and welding. it might be closer to $2,500, either way its still a cheap project.
