I had a good time...showed up about noon in the daily with some friends and got in with my pre-reg. pass. Had a couple beers, met Weesner and bought a shirt from him for my son. Watched the Dynotones and got soaked. I had a great time, even without my roadster. I'm glad I went. I got a little video of the Deseil powered R@# Rod doing donuts in the parking lot. I'm gonna try and get it uploaded for you guys if you want.

I drove my car out and got there around 7. It was a good turn out considering the weather sucked! Kind of depressing though knowing how many more cars would've shown up if it didnt rain. Atleast GNRS is next month!!

 

Woke up at 3. The truck fired like it was ready. Drove over the Ortega Hwy. form Elsinore to Mission Viejo to meet up with my club and we drove up from there. No windows, no windshield wipers. The parking lot was a lagoon. It rained all the way home and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Great drive.

Thanks to others for posting picts. I opted to stay home and spent the day in the garage- dry...

 

we left about 5am from porterville (2-3hr drive). Rain is never a good thing in regards to events like car shows, drag races, weddings ect. but I was still stoked to be there....weesner,Kutty, Dan Collins, PIZZ...Dynotones and all the other various characters "live in person". It was a good time........DYNOTONES!!!

Our trucks are amazingly similar. Similar color, '35ish dash, ford steelies, similar gas tank, wow. Your's is nicer than mine though.

I never saw those pics. I have changed a lot since that anti-donut breakfast. Jimmy C has pinstripped the hell out of the dash. I yanked that SM420 grannie box and swapped in a T5, the gas tank was replaced with a oxygen tank from a B17, the bias tires and wheels were borrowed from my roadster, and of course fenders.

 

rain, sucked, but we met lots of people, hung out had a good time. In fact you can pick up a copy of Sunday Slacker with you order from Acme Speed Shop (while supplies last). Kicked it with the new homies from So Cal Burgers in East Los and Jesse from Jokers (Las Vegas) was also down there. I'll be back for another event or a good bar-b-q soon.
