My son and I took our cars over to the Rawhide Rumble show today at Wild Horse P*** south of Phoenix. There were about 250 cars there. This is the first time we have gone to a show together (he has an orange '70 Mustang we built together). I met up with Frenchy (fellow HAMBer) along with his georgeous "hot rod Lincoln" V12 powered '32. What a beautiful car it is, so nice to see it out there in person today. Here are some pics - real nice day but did cool off and start sprinkling at about 1:30pm:
Lincoln v-12 is awsome! talk about hot rod lincoln! I wonder if the dual carb intake is a one-off or readily available speed part? If so, I did'nt know speed parts for these were even made!
This "Sears horseless carriage" had some really cool history and was a real engineering marvel. Parts are still available from Ahmish buggy dealers that fit this car.
Thanks for posting the pics. Do you have anymore pics of the 39? Ford snub nose? I'd like to see what the rest of it looked like.
Sorry but this is the only other pic I have of it. I am not that good at taking pics, and I thought I had a pic of the overall custom but I don't. It was about the size of a 70's van but lowered.
T.W Thanks for posting pictures of my 32 nice pictures for sure. It was nice to meet you today at the show keep in mind that there is going to be another show on the 2nd of January at Beaudry Rv on the gr*** this one will be nice. Give me a call sometime after the holiday and come by and see my other car in the living room. Again Thanks for a great time meeting your wife and your son at the show. Frenchy Doc Detail
Good meeting you as well - Your car is really nice. The Jan 2nd show is definately on our calender. There were a lot of really nice cars there today. Great time of year here in AZ for sure!!!
The show in January will be at Beaudry Rv and will be on the gr*** for the first 100 cars pre registered. You can get the show application for Rod'n Racing monthly newspaper on do a Google search for it. We will see you there. Thanks Frenchy
Hey Kerry I saw it in the "Roddin' & Racin'" publication that you can pick up at NAPA, Thoroghbred Chevrolet, and probably a host of other places. I didn't know about it until Saturday. The show on Jan 2nd is at Beaudry RV south of town off the 10 and is some kind of prostate cancer awareness deal. Here is a link: http://online.roddinandracintv.com/?page_id=340 They gave out flyers for this one at Goodguys, but a registration form is in the Roddin & Racin paper too. Tom
I thought about going but couldnt get out of the pajamas and old western mood yesterday... Looks like a good time..
62 Dragfalcon This intake manifold made by Edmonds was available over 30 years ago along with Edelbrock. Now days they are very rare but a member of the Zephyr club in San Jose is reproducing them for 2 and 3 and 4 carburetors. He also makes the aluminum heads for the V12 including heads for the Flathead V8. Frenchy
