Just wondering what gets the smell of paint fumes out of the house.Im in the dog house and in 2 days I will be again. Its only in the back part of the garage that is now a bedroom seperated by drywall ,insulation and plastic ,I did try to make it fume proof.I did have the back door open. Looks like Im sleeping alone tonight.
After you're done painting go in the house and burn some microwave popcorn or microwave some fish and I bet she won't even notice any paint fumes.
I have the same problem when i spray painted a few parts the other day. My garage is connected to the living room. The garage door was even open when i was painting. Im going to try and buy some new weather seal to put around the man door that leads into the garage. Maybe you should try a fan or something. Im eventualy going to build a paint booth with 2x4 frame and plastic sheeting. Kinda like a green house.
good luck with that deal.better be glad it wasn't the old imron. i never had rats or mice in the house. a few years later,i was involved in a cl*** action law suit by the families of these rodents. it'll clear out by christmas....
Yah, I need to paint some control arms and I don't want to wait until spring to do it... don't know what I'm going to do... don't want to farm it out.
Build a huge doghouse with a paint-booth? Cracked me up that you said in two days you know you're gonna be in trouble again! LMAO! Seriously, maybe a kick-azz ventilator system...one of those belt-driven furnace fans ducted to the outside. **** the warm air from the house into the garage, and out? Of course, then you might have a streak down the side of your house the color of your paint! Or maybe tinted laundry hangin' on the line! Good luck.
Time. Lots of time. Move a heater and TV to the dog house before next coat, spend all your money on speed equipment so there's nothing left for her lawyer. This is unfortunately one of those areas where women start to show a completely different set of values and priorities than men... If she's still there when the fumes clear, chocolate, flowers, and groveling are indicated...if not, get on with the third coat.
Actually Hotrod lincoln you are at fault just as much as I am. Thanks for the tips the fender looks great.Ill have to cut and buff ,But that will be a summer gig. It isn't a streetrod ,But Mom will be happy Probably Thurs. So far New strut ,spindle ,Fender and bumper and headlight surround.Fender is coming off tomorrow and new one is going on.I want to get back to bodywork on my A.
If you knuckle heads have a gas stove, water heater or gas central heat, your going to blow your self away. Don't paint near open flames, fumes travel.
When I was in high school I cured exhaust manifolds coated with white VHT Paint in Mom's oven....man did that stank! THe charcoal idea sounds good.
Tried to dry some socks in the microwave once. Caught on fire. Goodbye microwave. And PEEEEEEEEEEUUUUUUUUUUHHH!!! Of course, I didn't try it again two days later.
Here in the central valley of California no one can smell the paint over the meth cooking. Try cooking up some meth in the bathroom.
Listen if you go and fry some "smelts" on the stove, she will leave. I think they rank a**** the smelliest fish to fry.
Same here,Wife *****ed me out last night for doing same thing.I told her did you forget our wedding voughs?Through sickness and bla bla.Ya see the sickness part is building hot rods! She will get over it.LOL.
