Eagle Feild Drags Challenge

The Rum Runners of Merced, CA. has challenged the Satan's Chauffeurs of Merced, CA. to a best of 5 race at eagle field in May. The rules are..It has to be a fresh build, it has to be a small block with a single 4 barell carb, and each club can only spend 500 bucks out of pocket. All other parts have to be donated by the club members. The Rum Runners are building a 41 Chevy pick-up. The S.C. are building something slow!

 

Should be a blast!!!

I wont make the may race with my new build but maybe the next one in sept, oct? When is the next one after may? Hope to get some build pics up soon, its gonna be a monster ha ha.

 

The 2nd event next year (Hot Rod Gathering) is Saturday Oct 9. I hope you attend both Lancer, I really enjoyed your photos. This club challenge is cool, maybe you guys could challenge more clubs to build a club car just like back in the day. Oh I'll be at both for sure, sorry if I was not clear on that. Its just I wont be driving anything fast in May. But, I will be there with camera in hand and also stay longer this time. The first race I was only able to be there a couple of hours so I missed a lot of the cool stuff, didn't get any shots of the top fueler runnin that monster, I did hear one p*** tho as we were leaving. Looking forward to the next one, and also my build for the Oct. 9 race.

 

Now we're talking! I'll be following this with a big grin... May the best car win!

Wouldn't miss Eagle Field 2010 for anything, No matter how many "mosquito" bites.

Thanks Matt, I'm looking forward to seeing the TRK issue myself, mailman is probably reading it. I was given a Custom photo book for Christmas and it has a cool photo of you taking the Checkered flag with an ear to ear grin.....GREAT STUFF!

Oh, man now we really have to get it in gear guys! It was bad enough when it was just Wally picking on us but now this deal is out there in front of God and everybody! Man I've been offline for a few days and all hell breaks loose. Wally your spy tricks won't work. HaHa. My 6 year old daughter comes home from school and says "Daddy today at school your friends (Wally) daughter came up to me and said that her dad told her to ask me what your race car looks like, but I just told her I haven't seen it yet!" whats up sc have you guys decided on what your guna build yet ? Or are you still drawing pictures and talking about how awsome your rig is guna b . I think the last time we were down at your shop we seen a set of sweet frame rails but i dont think that those will get down the track to quick even if you guys push um. i seen budlight on sale at save mart so if you guys wana save a few bucks on the bbq ur guna throw us you might wana run down there soon and grab a few cases.you can drop them off at our shop, you guys know the place you always drive by and wish you were. lol. love u sc . love rum runners xoxoxoxoxo
