Just a minute ago I learned that a modle A front crossmember spring perch should be set at 7 degrees and not level.

Now that I typed it out, I may remember it; although I likely will never need it.

I learned that the kitchen table has many uses, but it didn't tell me how to explain to my wife why I've got a Model A transmission on it...

    Here's a freebie! Don't touch metal with wet fingers when it's -8F

Balljoint spacers. Raise the front without losing suspension travel.

And cookies and eggnog can make me fat real fast. Didn't learn that here, though.

I too learned about drilling a thermostat to "burp" the cooling system.hucks50 and I both got edjumacated! We're in the clerisy dudes!

I learned civility, spellchecking isn't always a necessity and that there's only a few forum-appointed moderators on here? Some people are just too damned serious?

I learned that the Alliance Member Plaques for 2010 will have a black background.
Also,I need to send in my money for one of those plaques.

I learned that you left coast guys have a waaaaay longer hot rodding season than we Appalachians. We try, tho? #!!!%^&!!!# winter time! If I see one more Currier and Ives winter scene I'm gonna puke! I hate winter!

I'll have to add that 7degrees on a Model A crossmember install to my list. Away from the board I learned that every time I rathole a chunk of cash for my hotrod projects my wife's daily driver dies and I have to go out and buy her another one. And I did something I said that I would never do in my lifetime and that is buy a mini van. But it was cheap and is all wheel drive with two sets of tires and room to haul lots of parts back from the swap meets in the PNW next spring.

I've discovered once again that even though we can be a rowdy bunch we as a group prefer to have our cars be safe to drive and are quick to point out why a proposed modification may not be in the best interest of safety. We can simply ignore ugly but safety involves all of us in the hobby.

If you pop a bag of popcorn in the microwave, or cook some fish, it will cover up the paint fumes that drift into the house from the garage/shop, and keep you out of the dog house with the wifey.
