North Carolina woods find - 1956 Dodge and it's JUNK

    Friend went fishing and told me about a "finned Mopar" in the woods. Followed his directions and found a JUNK 1956 Dodge with the Super Red Ram engine still inside. The dash looks good too.

    Just enjoy the pics.

    Throw 'er on an S-10 frame, add some random stuff on it and call it a rat rod :)

    You should see some of the **** I've seen crushed under fallen trees up in Maine. Shoeboxes, 2-dr Buicks, and Bel Airs come to mind.

    Why would I ever put a Dodge on a GM Platform? Ewww.


    Anyone know where I can get new quarters? Besides the Franklin mint.

    Are you gonna try and take it out of there...maybe salvage some of the parts?

    I'd take those valve covers and hang them on a wall if I were you. I absolutely LOVE looking at old cars in the woods. This is one of my favorite finds. A whole BUNCH of 57 Chevy's.

    those old cars are everywhere in north carolina..i found this one when i ran into the woods to answer a nature call, my brother in law eventually hauled it out. it was near a town called waxhaw.
