help me decide which to do , got a line on several, old school stuff is what I'm looking for - pre 69 ,I'll kick it off w this one from Gasser Madness not many of these there and no tudors that I can find , I have a few on my GASSERS!site, but again no tudors.
while I'm at it didn't someone make wheel entering axle pads?RB's or someone? its a common problem/mistake on these cars, old axle has a pad that extends out on an orig.car when you mount a later axle using standard pads ,it moves forward there are kits to mount new springs w an adjusted postion i know
Mike- I found this car on ebay[not mine] is kinda a deal at 14Hundred..its over now but his name is on listing-in Iowa,Might get cheaper- looks like a good start.
been watching myself for awhile ,never saw that one either, It did'nt sell ? ,seems cheap, unless its just like that w no title,VIN #'s or parts
GAD! I wanna coupe! lol but it seems all that is avail. around here are tudors so i'll prolly end up w one of those anyone got any pre 69 drag or street gasser tudor pics?
I have most every thing needed to put one together Big + Little wheels ,350/350,front skinny's, 9"posi,roll bars , race seats,, still need ladders ,fenderwells and rear 8" cheaters ,just need a decent titled body to get going.
Sorry Rocky, but its not a 302, Its a 278" Chev six, owned by Armond Orr, and "lent" to this year's B'ville endevour. I believe it runs GMC Conn Rods and Buick V6 pistons to assist in the breathing characteristics - I got the same stuff to build the blown motor I will put together using the blower setup I was given by my late friend Max. One way to check as to whether an engine is a GMC or a Chev is the number of welsh pulgs on the left side. 5 = GMC, 2 = Chev. GMC's have other differences as well, but I can't lay my hand on them at the moment. Its to do with the bolt pattern of the exposed head bolts.
wild ! early corvette intake it looks like, wonder what she pulled for times.I have a couple 50's books on chev/jimmy sixes.neat stuff i had a 48 built 216 for my 49 sedan delivery , but it could'nt handle extended hwy speeds and put a rod out of the block. neat sound w split exaust and glass packs.
ya know, i've been looking at this pic (first pic) and something just doesn't look right , i think i have it nailed down , that is a 40 w a 41 front clip! (I think)
thats true , maybe the HL were lowered + molded in , it looks like thats the case now that I used my magnifier Its an AGE thing
Here's one of our old cars. It ran an early '66 big block in the mid 60s which we pulled out and kept. It has a 350 now, fenderwell headers and a 4spd.
all these cars ROCK ,lookit that "petina" on the rusto cpe ,neat , and that satin 37 is kool too, looks like I may get that 40 cpe from up in Duluth, hope to have it looking that good.If that falls trough I'll buy that 40 sedan I know of.
